A convenient function lever lets you quickly switch between sewing and overlock modes, reducing setup time and eliminating the need to move between separate machines.
Sewing Made Simple
On the sewing side, the Janome SewSwitch 30 offers 30 built-in stitches, including 3 buttonhole stitches, giving you plenty of options for everyday sewing, garment construction, alterations, and creative projects.
The Sensor Buttonhole feature helps create the correct buttonhole size each time, while a powerful motor provides stable needle penetration for dependable performance. Sew at speeds up to 820 stitches per minute, or use the speed control to adjust the pace to suit your project.
Convenient features including a two-step needle threader, computerized function keys, default needle-up stop position, and a 2-digit LED screen help make operation straightforward and user-friendly.
Switch to Overlock Finishing
When you’re ready to finish your seams, simply move the lever to the overlock setting. The SewSwitch 30 features a 1-needle, 2-thread overlock system, allowing the needle to be installed in either the right or left position.
Adjustable cutting width and feed length provide greater control over your finished seams, helping you achieve clean, professional-looking edges without requiring a separate overlock machine.
Designed for Convenience
The SewSwitch 30 features a new half-type extension table that installs from the front and includes an openable lid. A detachable accessory case provides access to the free arm, making it easier to sew sleeves, cuffs, pant legs, and other tubular projects.
Despite combining two functions, the SewSwitch 30 maintains a clean, refined appearance and remarkably quiet operation. A retractable 8.1″ carrying handle makes moving and storing the 27.5 lb. machine more convenient.

Designed for smooth, comfortable sewing and beautiful rolled hems, this presser foot features a wider tip for stable fabric guidance and consistent stitching. A built-in stopper helps reduce foot tilting when sewing thicker fabrics, while the extended needle drop position guide improves visibility and control. The gently curved tip makes it easier to sew over varying fabric thicknesses, and grooves underneath the foot help prevent fabric from slipping.
