The M8 comes standard with the A.S.R. (Accurate Stitch Regulator) Janome Accurate Stitch Regulator System includes four feet: closed-toe, open toe, clear view, and the exclusive ruler work foot so that all of your free-motion needs are covered. With the added benefit of being able to set the sensitivity of the sensor; you can adjust the regulation as your skills build. *Not compatible with M6*
AcuFeed Flex™ System
The Continental M8 features the Detachable AcuFeed Flex Layered Fabric Feeding System is the best on the market. AcuFeed Flex perfectly guides your fabric from the top and bottom. Perfect for quilts, plaids, and any sewing requiring precise control. *Optional accessory for M6*
Professional Grade Needleplate, HP foot, & HP2 Foot

Input the number of rows/size of work for traditional quilt patterns like Nine Patch, Log Cabin, Baby Blocks and more. The Quilt Block Advisor will help you break down each section and provide you with the cutting size of pieces including seam allowance.
Optical Bobbin Sensor
For everyone who has sewn a long seam, only to find that your bobbin thread ran out after the first few inches, our advanced Optical Bobbin Monitoring System is for you. Janome technology allows the Continental M8 to constantly watch your bobbin thread supply while sewing, so that you will receive a warning as soon as the bobbin thread gets low, not when it’s too late at the end of your seam.
Computerized One-Touch Needle Plate
Changing out your needle plate has never been easier! By simply pressing a button on yourscreen, the needle plate automatically lifts up for easy removal. No need to snap the replacement needle plate in, as the newly designed computerized needle plate system quickly falls into place. And, since the M8 comes with three needle plates, changing them out for the proper application is a breeze.
