Kathy Tucker is an expert quilter and a Laura Heine Certified Instructor and Certified Longarm Quilter. As a long-time educator with children and in higher education, she specializes in classes that are inspiring and educational while meeting the needs of each individual learner and skill level. With over 35 years in the art of quilting making, her classes provide beginner to advanced students with new and exciting skills in a positive and supportive atmosphere.

, machine piecing, machine applique, paper piecing, and the Accuquilt system. She has developed two Textile Ministries, taught classes and one on one lessons in quilt making and has her own Custom Quilt and Longarm Quilting business. The quilt classes you experience at the Sewing and Vacuum Warehouse will provide beginner to advanced students with new and exciting skills in a positive and supportive atmosphere!

This beginner class will put a monochromatic filter on traditional Texas elements. “Hey Y’all” will be your result! Cacti, florals like bluebonnets and sunflowers, spurs and silhouettes of the Lone Star State bring these fabrics from Alli K Designs to life. Students may also select their own color pallet and fabrics, if they choose. This is a one-day beginner class that takes place from 10:30-5:00.
