Kathy Tucker is a Studio 180 Design and Laura Heine Certified Instructor. She is also a Certified Longarm Quilter. As a long-time educator with children and in higher education, she specializes in classes that are inspiring and educational while meeting the needs of each individual learner and skill level. With over 35 years in the art of quilting making, her classes provide beginner to advanced students with new and exciting skills in a positive and supportive atmosphere.

Are you anxious to begin quilting but don’t know where to begin? This 5-week course will teach the basic skills needed to complete a stunning quilt. Students may use the Accuquilt cutting system OR traditional piecing techniques. Kathy will teach 3 new blocks each week in a supportive and positive environment. Participants will develop specific skills associated with the art of quilt making such as rotary cutting, piecing, block design, and quilt history.
