Kathy Tucker is a Studio 180 Design and Laura Heine Certified Instructor. She is also a Certified Longarm Quilter. As a long-time educator with children and in higher education, she specializes in classes that are inspiring and educational while meeting the needs of each individual learner and skill level. With over 35 years in the art of quilting making, her classes provide beginner to advanced students with new and exciting skills in a positive and supportive atmosphere.

Participants will start gaining knowledge that they have been yearning to develop quilt designs with the Electric Quilt (EQ8) software. Students with earlier versions will be guided how they are able to upgrade to Version 8. We will start with Chapter One of the Lessons for Beginners, Lessons 1 and 2.

Topics covered will include:

• Basics of quilt worktable
• Using the fabric tools
• Naming projects
• Adding borders
• Block library
• Coloring your quilt design
• Printing and exploring
• Drawing basic pieced and applique blocks

Students must pre-order EQ8 software and EQ8 Lessons for Beginners book  from Sewing and Vacuum Warehouse no later than 2 weeks prior to the class. Students must have EQ8 software download and on their laptops prior to class!
