Kathy has been a quilter for more than 33 years with experience in hand quilting, machine piecing, machine applique, paper piecing, and the Accuquilt system. She has developed two Textile Ministries, taught classes and one on one lessons in quilt making and has her own Custom Quilt and Longarm Quilting business. The quilt classes you experience at the Sewing and Vacuum Warehouse will provide beginner to advanced students with new and exciting skills in a positive and supportive atmosphere!
Learn to free motion quilt on your own tabletop sewing machine. Using a muslin sandwich, students will learn 6 free-motion quilting designs that they can transfer to their own project.
What To Bring: Supply lists will be given at time of registration.

Put your items in a bag with your name on it and drop it off it off at the store. Please make sure you drop off your items the day before to ensure they get sharpened. Same day drops offs are not guaranteed to get sharpened! Items will be available for pick up next business day at 10:00AM. If you are paying by check, please make checks out to The Scissor Guy.

We all love our embroidery machine and using it with Embrilliance takes it to a whole other level! Learn to free motion quilt on your own tabletop sewing machine. Using a muslin sandwich, students will learn 6 free-motion quilting designs that they can transfer to their own project.
We will learn how to set up Thumbnailer to see your designs without opening them first. We will learn how to open a design using Essentials, resizing, merging, and using the lettering tools. Students will also learn the tools for removing hidden stitches, color sorting and the stitch simulator, as well as how to create cut files for your applique designs!
What To Bring: Bring your laptop already loaded with Embrilliance Essentials and Thumbnailer. The demo version for Essentials is fine, they work the same.
