Kathy Tucker is a Studio 180 Design and Laura Heine Certified Instructor. She is also a Certified Longarm Quilter. As a long-time educator with children and in higher education, she specializes in classes that are inspiring and educational while meeting the needs of each individual learner and skill level. With over 35 years in the art of quilting making, her classes provide beginner to advanced students with new and exciting skills in a positive and supportive atmosphere.
Are you anxious to begin quilting but don’t know where to begin? This 5-week course will teach the basic skills needed to complete a stunning quilt. Students may use the Accuquilt cutting system OR traditional piecing techniques. Kathy will teach 3 new blocks each week in a supportive and positive environment. Participants will develop specific skills associated with the art of quilt making such as rotary cutting, piecing, block design, and quilt history.

This Freshman Year, Semester I of Tucker University offers 6 technique courses for using Deb Tucker's Studio 180 Design tools to develop exact precision and incredible designs. Students practice how to use each tool and apply it to other patterns and designs. Each course is supported by a Design Sheet and Technique Sheet for students to realize the many options they can create using their Studio 180 Design tools. Students will be able to create 2 fun projects: a “mid-term” and “final”. Don’t worry, no grades are given, only fun and inspiration.

Do you have any unfinished projects? Come join us for an all-day open sew with the We Bee Stitchin' sewing bee. We meet the fourth Thursday of every month from 10:30AM - 4:00PM. This is an open sewing group where members will be allowed to bring their machines and any unfinished projects they may want to work on and spend the day in the company of others sewing. Come for a few hours or stay all day and play! We Bee Stitchin' is a great way to get together with a group of people who share your enthusiasm! Enjoy your time and be inspired to complete your projects!
